While popular spots for Komodo diving, a Komodo liveaboard, or a Raja Ampat liveaboard see thousands of divers every month, Halmahera remains quiet and untouched with fewer crowds. Because it is so remote, the coral reefs are completely pristine, guaranteeing you won't be bumping fins with crowds of other people.
Halmahera sits right in the middle of the "Coral Triangle", the undisputed global capital of ocean life. Because it rests between the open Pacific Ocean and the sheltered Banda Sea, deep ocean currents push rich nutrients up to the surface.

- July: Swim with huge fish schools and thresher sharks in strong water flows, featuring 25–30 meters of clarity and 27–29°C waters.
- August: Big sharks and active manta rays take the stage with 22–30 meters of clarity, medium to strong flows, and 27–29°C temperatures.
- September: Find a perfect mix of big fish and tiny critters in 20–28 meters of water clarity, medium flows, and 28–29°C waters.
- October: Watch corals release their eggs into the sea, with 18–25 meters of clarity, mild to medium flows, and a warm 28–30°C.
